Providing pet-parent-level care, when pet-parents can't

Daytime

Drop-in visits - Choose between 30 & 60 min. stay. Staff, at your direction can provide bathroom breaks, feeding, play, cuddle, etc.

30 min. walk - In your neigborhood

Dog park visit - Staff will bring your pup to the local dog park

Pet Taxi - We can take your pup from point A to Point B.

Overnight

Overnight sitting - A staff will stay in your home with your pet(s) from 7PM until 7AM. Consecutive overnights require a day-time drop-in for a bathroom break.

Bed & Breakfast - Staff will spend 60 min. in the evening to feed, play & cuddle before bed time. They will return in the AM and repeat.

Wedding day/pics - We can handle your pup during pictures, the ceremony, etc. & allow you to focus on your special day.

Doggy taxi - We can chauffer to the vet, a friends house or anywhere else you need.

Doggy relocation - If your moving or taking an extended trip by plane. A staff member can transport your pet by car to your destination.

Reservation Policy -
  • 50% due at time reservation is made

  • Balance due prior tp, or on day 1 of engagement

  • Cancellation > 3 days prior to service date = 50% credit

  • Cancellations < 3days = No refund

  • No-shows = No refund

  • Stays longer than 7 nights will receive 10% discount

  • Overnights include 12 hours begining at 7PM

  • Bed & Breakfast inludes 60 min stay for dinner and play along with 30 min in the AM for breakfast and bathroom

Holiday Reservation Policy -
  • Min. 3 nights for overnight bookings - Holiday premium +20/dog

  • Holiday period considered actual day, along with 3 days post & prior

  • Cancellations prior to 7 days of service = full refund of deposit

  • >7 days cancellation notice forfeits 50% of deposit

  • >48 hours cancellation notice forfeits 100% of deposit

SPP Acitivity Details-
  • Pet activity preferences should be included in notes section

  • Staff will walk a maximum of 2 dogs with a combined weight <100 Lbs. - If weight <100Lbs., dogs will be walked seperately.

  • 30 min walks are to occur within your neigborhood

  • Park visits are 60 min including transportation time

  • Prior to our team going solo to the park, one of us will meet you there to observe his/her temperment. Mandatory pre-requisite for paek visit.

Customer Deposits - SPP property
  • Substitute Pet Parents will assess a $25 deposit for a SPP supplied key lockbox.

Substitute Pet Parents promises to operate with a high level of professionalism, expertise & integrity. We promise to love and care for your furry family members as if they were one of our own. We promise to be accessible, transparent and authentic.

We promise:

  • All SPP team members have passed a third party background screening.

  • All team members are rated by our customers. All ratings and comments are available for review.

  • Customers always recieve a post-visit report card and a pic(s) of your pet during our watch.

  • SPP will coverxxxx of any vet bills arising from emergency an under our supervision

  • 24/7 emergency help is available. We've got your back.

Yes, All staff are Red Cross certified in CPR and hold a current NAPPS pet sitting certification. a Red Cross pet sitter certification.

Additionally, SPP staff have an on-call veterinarian available on-demand for emergencies.

Do you offer dog training?

Currently, no. That said, we can help reinforce existing training during our shifts.

Can you help with dog socialization

Yes. We can bring a non-aggressive dog to your house or a neutral location for socialization or play.

Do you offer longer-term house/pet sitting?

We would likely be able to occomdate an extended term need. Our ability to accomodate such requests improves with advance notice.

Do you store my house key safely when between visits?

Your key never leaves your property. A lockbox will be used to allw secure access.

Do you offer promotions? Discounts?

Yes, SPP occassionally will offer special terms. We are always honoring new pet parent referrals. For each new customer that you bring us - we will offer a free walk

Is SPP affiliated with Rover?

No. Substitute Pet Parents is a family business that is local to Horry County. A Place for Rover is a software company owned by a headge fund.
